What Is Your Fastest Parkrun Time

I really enjoy running at my local Parkrun in Merthyr Tydfil. It’s a challenging course. I completed my 1st Parkrun on 23 December 2017 and have since completed 18 runs. I cant wait for the Saturday morning to do the Parkrun.

By joinng the Parkrun, I have gained more friends, its helped me become more happier and fitter. I feel that I have joined a great community. I like Parkrun so much that have also volunteered. It’s such a good thing to have to get people out and running and to make them feel good and more healthier and best of all its free for anyone.

My fastest time so far is 23.22, which was accomplished on 7th April and although I have tried, I’m unable to beat it, but I will. When I 1st began running, I never would have thought it was possible, but to achieve what I have is amazing. It’s an amazing felling and makes me pushing for more even at 42 years of age.

There are so many Parkrun now available and once you register you can simply turn up with your bar code on a Saturday morning at 9am and simply run or walk. I have not yet ventured to run any another Parkruns, but I will as I’m lucky to have the beautiful Bryn Bach Park and Porthcawl seafront Parkruns not too far way. Find a Parkrun for you
